Do I need to pay to participate on PEP?

People Medical Consulting like sharing what we know, giving you a clear pathway to your career. We answer a different question each week that you ask us on Facebook & Instagram.

THIS WEEK’S QUESTION…?

Do I need to pay to participate on PEP?

There are fees associated with PEP. However, PEP is co-funded by the Commonwealth Government under the Australian Government’s Stronger Rural Health Strategy for Doctors for GPs in MMM 2 – 7 areas.

We have outlined the associated fees for PEP in the table below:

ItemCost
PEP Entry Assessment (PEPEA)$725.00 AUD
Co-Funded Term Fee (6 month period)$2,000.00 AUD
RACGP Membership Fee (Registrar)$490.00 AUD

PEP are still in the process of confirming the Term Fee for GPs that are not eligible for co-funding. This amount will be added once it has been confirmed at this link: https://www.racgp.org.au/education/imgs/fellowship-pathways/fellowship-programs-for-imgs/practice-experience-program/practice-experience-program-standard-stream/fees
