How much experience do I need to be eligible for the FRACGP exams?

GP Jobs and Recruitment Assistance Australia | People Medical

This can be confusing because an RACGP time assessment will talk about both 6 months and 1 year.

You will require 1 year GP experience specifically in Australia in addition to any overseas 3 years time assessed. 6 months of this experience must be in ‘comprehensive general practice’ which means it can’t be a role that focuses in one area such as after hours, occupational health or aged care- it needs to meet the definition of ‘comprehensive’ general practice as defined by RACGP.
