PBS Education Guides – 

Updated Education Guides for PBS have been released by Medicare, the updated guides include the following: 

  • Efficient Funding of Chemotherapy 
  • Continued Dispensing Initiative – PBS Requirements 
  • Participating Public Hospitals – Writing PBS and RPBS Prescriptions

Patient’s Receiving Medicare Benefits – 

Medicare is urging GPs to remind patients that they can provide their Bank Details online using their Medicare online account, or with the Express Plus Medicare mobile app to prevent delays in receiving Medicare Benefits.

AKT & KFP Exams Being Held in February – 

Later this week RRACP’s first round of KFP & AKT Fellowship exams will be held. 

  • KFP – Exam on the 1st of Feb 2019, with results available 27th of March 2019 
  • AKT – Exam on the 2nd of Feb 2019, with results available the 20th of March 2019

2019 AMA Indigenous Medical Scholarship Applications – 

Applications close for 2019 AMA Indigenous Medical Scholarships will close as of the 31st of January 2019. Successful applicants will receive $10,000.00 each year for the duration of their course. Further information (including application forms) can be found via the AMA website – .
