About The Practice & The Team
The books are closed, doctors are booked between 5 and 10 days in advance, there is more than enough demand for a new doctor in the practice, and they are willing to supervise!
This regional practice has a standard cross section of patients from very young to adult to aged. There is high demand for the fundamentals of family medicine, Women’s and Men’s health and Paeds. There is a high need for skin and chronic disease. And given the nature of work in the area there is a reasonable volume of work medicals and injury assessment.
- Location: Located in Central QLD the Mackay and Coalfields region is dominated by agriculture and mining business with an increasing focus on tourism based around the Southern end of the Great Barrier. The region offers a broad range of schools that cater for children from kindy to secondary and regional uni campus. The area is renowned for its strong sense of community and work life balance.

- Roster: Opportunity for part-time or full-time:
- Mon – Fri: 7:00am – 5:30pm
- Sat: 8:00am – 12:30pm
- Sun: 9:00am – 12:00pm
- Billings: Privately Billing
- Support: 4 GPs, 3 Nurses with Path on site and nearby in the town is a radiologist, chiro, and physio. And each month there is a visiting exercise physiologist, dietitian and diabetes educator, and specialist.
