Do I need Supervision under the PEP Specialist Stream?

People Medical Consulting like sharing what we know, giving you a clear pathway to your career. We answer a different question each week that you ask us on Facebook & Instagram.
THIS WEEK’S QUESTION…?
Do I need Supervision under the PEP Specialist Stream?
The PEP Specialist Stream will require you to be under supervision until you have achieved your Fellowship.
The Supervisor is required to be registered as an unrestricted Specialist GP under AHPRA and must have attained their fellowship with RACGP or ACRRM.
Alternatively, RACGP will considered a Non-VR GP as a Supervisor if they have a written recommendation by a Fellowed GP in support of their application as a Supervisor.
A Co-Supervisor is only required by RACGP if the supervision responsibilities will be split between 2 Supervisors; otherwise only a Principal Supervisor is required.
For the PEP Specialist program, please note that the registrar’s supervisors do not get payments for offering supervision.
