What is an ICHC and how do I get one?

When you apply for registration with AHPRA, you are required to provide your ICHC reference number. But what exactly is that?

ICHC stands for International Criminal History Check. You are required to apply for one if you, at the age of 18 and above, have a criminal history in another country or if you have lived outside of Australia for a period of six months or more consecutively.

This process is very simple and only takes 10-15 minutes.

There are only 2 ICHC providers that AHPRA will accept. These are AIS International and Fit2Work.

You can apply for an ICHC with Fit2Work here.

You can apply for an ICHC with AIS International here.
