Do I need to complete the online education and assessment module for supervisors?

This is a FAQ BLOG and you can refer to our AHPRA blog here.

Need help understanding your pathway?

Date Updated: 2026-03-02

All AHPRA principal supervisors, co-supervisors, term co-supervisors, and even existing supervisors must pass the Board’s online education and assessment module which will be sent to them via email. This includes reviewing the Guidelines, completing the 30-minute lesson, and taking the 15-minute quiz. You would need a 90% or above in the quiz to pass the module.

How can I access it?

You will be given the login details and instructions on how to access it once the IMG’s supervised practice plan and supervisor/s are approved by the Board. Once you have the details and link, you will be able to access it anytime.

With the link, you can:

  • Click on the Quick Facts menu button to view a summary of the lesson.
  • Click on EXIT to return to the My Training page to complete the quiz.
  • Click the ► navigation button on the bottom right of the screen to continue, or select a topic from the Table of Contents list.

When do I have to complete this?

Once you receive your login details, you’ll have one month to complete the module.

If I have already been supervising for years, do I still need to complete this?

Even if you have an experience in supervising IMGs, you are still required to complete the module every time the guidelines are reissued by the Board. This is to let all supervisors be aware of their role and responsibilities.
