GP Jobs and Recruitment Assistance Australia | People Medical

In order to meet AHPRA’s requirements and be eligible for Registration, you must practise within your scope of practice at any time for a minimum total of:

  • four weeks full-time equivalent in 12 months
  • 12 weeks full-time equivalent over three years.

* Full-time equivalent is 38 hours per week which over 4 weeks works out to be 152 hours total and over 12 weeks works out to be 456 hours total. The maximum number of hours that can be counted per week is 38 hours. Medical practitioners who work part-time must complete the same minimum number of hours of practice – this can be completed part-time.
