How many supervisors do I need to supervise an IMG on Level 1 Supervision?

Ideally, an IMG under Level 1 Supervision has a principal supervisor and a co-supervisor. If the clinic cannot possibly provide 2 supervisors, 1 primary supervisor may oversee the IMG with the right supervision plan.
Supervisors must:
- Hold Specialist AHPRA Registration
- Be qualified in the same field of medicine as the proposed position for the IMG
- Have at least 3 years of experience with General and/or Specialist Registration
- Be onsite 100% of the time that the IMG is working
- Satisfactorily complete the Board’s online education and assessment module
All supervisors must also not be related to the IMG, must not be an employee of the IMG, and must not have any condition on their AHPRA.
