Will overseas CPD be considered in a PEP Specialist Comparability Assessment?

Need help understanding your pathway?

Date Updated: 2024-05-14

We have confirmed with RACGP in writing that CPD from overseas is accepted when applying for a comparability assessment.

Applicants will need to provide documentary evidence showing the completion of 50 hours CPD in the 12 months prior to applying for comparability assessment (the date of signing of the statutory declaration). Evidence must include the date, the nature of the activity and the number of hours completed for each CPD activity. CPD point statements will not be accepted if they do not include the number of hours.

Please note that there is an exemption for CPD requirements for Comparability Assessments from 22 November 2023:

  • Any 50 hours of CPD in the 12 months prior to applying for your comparability assessment will still be assessed, but you will no longer need experience across a range of areas and there will no longer be a maximum limit on the hours per day
  • 10 Clinical Case Analyses will no longer be required to be submitted or assessed
